WHIO App Reviews

Where is the local news? Very little information is found here, no up-to-date weather or traffic/road conditions. Stories are not updated and "local" stories are usually not even Ohio news. And the ads make the ap unusable almost all the time.

Stories are never up to date. Same stories appear in Top Story and headlines. Its difficult to find school closings and detailed weather info. Advertisements pop up mid screen and freeze. Previous app was much better. I have always been a whio fan but this app is being replaced with the WDTN app. Its much more user friendly.

The "current conditions" do not seem to update enough to be current. At least for me.

This app is awful and not user friendly. Most stories duplicate from top stories to local headlines. I wish WHIO still used their old app. It was much better. I will be using other stations apps till WHIO gets a better one, even though WHIO is my preferred news channel.

This app is horrible. The old one was much better. I contacted Cox to let them know, and they simply told me I didnt know how to use it.

Its easier just to go to the website. You click on a link only to be sent to a page with links. You click on the one you want to get the story or page you were looking for. Not sure what was "wrong" with the old app, but this is much, much worse. Often times I just avoid your app and site altogether, when previously I went to yours almost exclusively.

For some reason this doesnt seem to be updated very often. Im really getting tired of WHIO in general. Im switching to WDTN

Ive tried to be patient since updating to this new version several months ago, expecting that it would be updated to be easier to use. I give up, clearly that isnt the plan. This app continues to be confusing, outdated and cumbersome to use. Im switching to WDTN.

I really wish you guys would have stuck to the old app. Thought this was supposed to be an improvement, epic fail.

The font and pictures seem small and hard to read. The interface could definitely use an upgrade too

I dutifully sit through the commercials to see the the weather report, so why are does the app also run ads at the bottom of the screen? Cox doesnt care about the viewers and this is reflected in the reviews.

Hasnt worked for a few days now. I was putting up with it before, but now Im done with it. Going to WDTN.

This app is so terrible the old one was better, but the whole app needs redone. Just go to the website less frustrating that way

This application is great, but it needs to have "push notification" of breaking news and weather. Once it receives "push notification" I will rate it 5 stars.

The interface needs some serious updating, the settings section is just about as pointless as you can get, and freakishly enough the developers dont have an easy way for you to contact them to report any bugs/problems. Push notifications would also be pretty awesome to have as well. My cnn app has push notifications, why cant this app have them?

The headline news and local news are the same stories. And world news is the same as entertainment

Version 4.2 of the WHIO app is a GREAT improvement over previous versions in terms of its user interface. For the first time, this app actually performs like an app rather than a front end to the WHIO web site. This version of the app does great credit to WHIO who is a regional leader in every other aspect of its news operation.

Live stream is more like a slide show. Watch a few seconds of video feed until it stops. Then wait several seconds and watch a few more seconds again until it stops.

Watch whio all the time.Is there any way you can fix the FONT, Too small to read for us seniors. If Not a Waste of Time Trying To Make It Out!
